Fontenot Football Academy

 

Fontenot Football Academy uses Coach’s Play F.A.S.T (Faith, Attitude, Strength, Together) approach to teaching fundamentals and developing skills in young football players. Players will learn both the mental and physical aspects of becoming a better football player through spiritual strength, physical conditioning, a positive attitude, and the “team 1st” approach.

If you sign up your team we will keep you together for any group and team drills in the camp.

QB: Proper in both the running drop back and play action passing game. QB’s will also be exposed to the beginning stages of progression routes and defender reads

RB: Proper running technique with an emphasis on ball security and low center of gravity. RB’s will also work on basic route running and be introduced to pass protection techniques.

WR: Foundational footwork and agility; Adjusting to the ball; Ball security; Basic route running.

DB: Foundational footwork and agility; Ball drills; Getting off blocks. One-on-one and zone coverage techniques; LB’s will also be introduced to the basic fundamentals of tackling

LB: Foundational footwork and agility; Ball drills; Getting off blocks. One-on-one and zone coverage techniques; LB’s will also be introduced to the basic fundamentals of tackling

OL: Proper fundamentals of stance and start; playing low with the proper footwork; pass protection technique; run blocking fundamentals

DL: Proper fundamentals of stance and start; Footwork and agility; Pass rush technique; Getting off blocks in the run game

K/P: Foundational footwork and agility; Mechanics and technique (Leg swing; Ball striking; Steps; Stride; Get off; Snap to kick)

Strength and Conditioning: Campers will be taught and given a workout routine that is age specific to help them succeed across all sports.
